A wishful use-case for PIVX and Cardano
Imagine a future where the use of cryptocurrency smart-contracts is a normal thing. The use-case I’d love to see come to fruition soon takes a mix of my two favorite cryptocurrency projects at the forefront of the crypto world right now: Cardano & PIVX.
Cardano
We’re all in a crossroads of sorts as the brainchild of Cardano, Charles Hoskins, continues building upon his companies’ flagship project: the Cardano Blockchain; it's falling out of the tree with its wings spread wide. And it’s poised to be the next crypto-ecosystem to watch as the train with Web 3.0 is getting ready to enter the station. With it comes more reliable smart-contacts.
With the standard use of smart-contract being a near certainty comes the dreams of “what’s to be.” Imagine getting paid each week/month in your favorite cryptocurrency? You may have heard about the football player in Florida (I think) that’s getting paid in Bitcoin. However, as far as I’m aware, this is all done manually. Via Cardano, this could be automated. Do your job, sign your pay, and get paid auto-magically. I want to be paid in $PIVX, and it will be possible.
PIVX
PIVX, for the uninitiated, is the first PoS user-data protection cryptocurrency using zk-SNARKs based privacy protocol and a user-first data privacy cryptocurrency. In short, I can send you, right now, PIVX across the internet and nobody will be able to see a) where it came from, b) what/how much is being sent, or c) who’s receiving it. This is huge!
Furthermore, if the currency needs to be open to viewing by federal authorities to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules, it CAN be. 🤯 (See the PIVX paper on this subject here.) No other coin lets the user turn on/turn off their transparency settings at the user level. It’s fantastic!
Cardano’s smart-contact ecosystem will allow this (I’m not a developer, but I’ve found out that this “could” be done). Sure, it can be completed- as far as I’m aware- right now via Ethereum’s smart contracts. However, it’ll cost the payer a hefty sum, as all things do right now on the ETH chain. Cardano is designed to keep these fees to a reasonable level.
Not everyone is aware of how these two projects are about to change the world we live in. I don’t think anyone in my family could tell you what $ADA or $PIVX is. And that’s fine; they don’t need to. The systems will keep on moving anyway.
Summary
Smart-contracts will soon make it possible to get paid in your favorite cryptocurrency, such as the zk-SNARKs PoS privacy-first coin, PIVX. It’s about to get interesting around-these-here-parts.
At the risk of sounding cliche, the future is here. We’re just waiting for it to land in our laps! “I want my two $PIVX!”
